Frequently Asked Questions

What is the dress code?

Friday Welcome Drinks are indoor, casual attire.
The wedding Saturday is cocktail attire. For the gents, suit with tie and/or jacket. Ladies, short or long dress. We will be on a dock for the ceremony and brick for the reception for footwear. Ceremony will be outside, inside if there is inclement weather. The reception will be in the outdoor tent rain or shine!
Sunday is comfy casual!
Everything is on the water, we are hoping for warm weather but it could be chilly after the sun goes down.

But really, what is the weather going to be like?

The short answer is we don't know! In the last few years in Baltimore the end of April has been as warm as 85 degrees and as cold as 45 degrees. The average high is 68 degrees, but please check the weather the week before and cross your fingers for sun! Everything is on the water, so it could get chilly later at night. If chillier the tent will have sides and reception/after party will be indoors.

Will there be a shuttle?

We will have a shuttle available at the side entrance of the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront and outside of the Admiral Fells Inn to transport guests to and from the reception. Boarding will begin at 3:45pm for a prompt 4:00pm departure. They will do drop offs at your accomodation through the end of the afterparty.

Are there any colors I should or should not wear?

As long as you don't have a long white dress on you are good to go!

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes! There is a paid lot directly next to the venue, on the left and a parking garage less than a block away. Parking garage address 805 S. Caroline St. Uber and Lyft are readily available from all hotels.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Arrive at 4pm - the ceremony will start PROMPTLY at 4:30. Please plan to arrive at the venue at 4pm to ensure that you have time to grab a drink and find your seat for the ceremony!

Is the reception in the same place as the ceremony?

Yes! Everything will be at the same location. The ceremony and reception are at Frederick Douglass Maritime Park, and after party at Ampersea restaurant, directly adjacent to the reception.

Where should I stay?

Please see the ‘Hotels & Travel’ page of our site here. Colin and Sammy will be staying at the Canopy Hotel. There are also many Airbnbs in the Fells Point area.

How do I get from the airport?

Places to Eat

Pitango Bakery and Cafe

A great spot on the water in Fells Point for a sandwich, salad or coffee.
Sammy’s Pick: Mediterranean Salad with salmon or prosciutto and the chai latte
Colin’s Pick: Chicken and Roasted Veggies or a Prosciutto & Egg on focaccia paired with the fresh mint lemonade

Kooper’s Tavern

A casual bar, great place for brunch or a beer! Fun fact, this was where Colin and Sammy had their first date! Order like a local and get a burger with half sweet potato fries and half regular.
Sammy’s Pick: Veggie Benedict and an Irish Coffee
     Colin’s Pick: Lamb Burger

Kisling’s

The best wings in the area. The buffalo barbecue sauce is the best, followed by classic buffalo as a close second.

Thames Street Oyster House

One of the best places in Fell’s, this is a small place so we recommend a reservation. A favorite place for us on a nice date night.

La Barrita

Argentinian restaurant, the best steak in town by far! They also have fresh homemade pasta and empanadas.

Towson Hot Bagels

The best egg sandwiches (especially if you are feeling a little hungover) - we highly recommend a BEC.

Other dinner spots

Duck Duck Goose, Tagliata, Little Donna’s, Abbey Burger
